Prior to the official opening of the festival, AISFF2005 takes off with a unique section, ¡°5 Minutes in the Air¡±. Newly made in this year, this section is a collection of films less than 5 minutes and presents ¡®shorts of the shorts¡¯ to the passengers of Asiana Airlines. According ballots from the passengers, a film with the highest vote will win ¡°5 Minutes in the Air Award¡±

After breaking up with his girlfriend, a man searches everywhere to buy a snack which his ex-girlfriend loved to eat. He finally buys 2 packs of the snack with a very high price, and all the memories of her come back to his mind.

A young man, Roy, learns that he has won a haiku contest about Spam. Roy is notified that he has won a lifetime of Spam. Roy believes that this is a sign that his life will change for the better. But after two weeks, the Spam prize does not arrive.
